Glidance, the team behind the world’s first self-guided primary mobility aid for the visually impaired known as Glide, has announced their first-ever Demo Day, taking place at Helen Keller Services in New York on May 23. The event will bring together members of the Glidance and blind low vision community, giving them an exclusive chance to experience Glide. In addition, attendees will be able to meet the Glidance team, ask any questions they have and hear from CEO and Co-Founder Amos Miller.

With the product still in the prototype stage, demos will be delivered using a remote control system based on real-life situations as experienced by Amos. The Demo Day will be the first of many held across the US, and eventually, the world.

Amos Miller said:

“We can’t wait to connect with members of our growing community at our inaugural Demo Day at Helen Keller Services – a fitting venue for the occasion. Although we have met with many from our community online, this is the first specific in-person event for us outside of formal exhibitions. Following valuable feedback from our potential customers, we have made our new and improved Glide prototype sleeker and more ergonomic, and we are looking forward to hearing what people think.

“For those unable to make it to New York, we will be hosting other Demo Days across the country throughout the year – so stay tuned and remember to share the news with your friends and family!”

As space will be limited, registration is required to show your interest. Registration does not guarantee places, and the Glidance team will reach out close to the event to confirm attendance.
